DPE–Daily News Cup 2026 U18 Class A Opens with Two Draws as Defending Champions Suankularb Held by Ratchasima Wittayalai

Dr. Suthon Wichairat, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Physical Education, together with Dr. Adunyachat Khantama, Director of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Personnel Development, and event sponsors, attended the opening matches of the 2026 Inter-School Football Tournament, Under-18 Class A, “Department of Physical Education–Daily News Cup 2026.”

The tournament is held in pursuit of the royal trophy graciously bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

The opening-day highlight saw “Look Mae Rampoei” Debsirin School take on Assumption College Sriracha in a tightly contested match. Both sides started brightly and traded attacks in an evenly balanced first half, but Debsirin proved sharper in front of goal, taking a 1-0 lead through Achirawat Wapeefai in the 35th minute.

The second half remained entertaining, with both teams pushing forward and creating chances. Assumption College Sriracha eventually found a dramatic late equaliser in stoppage time, as Thanwisit Taman scored in the 96th minute to seal a thrilling 1-1 draw.

In the other fixture, defending champions Suankularb Wittayalai faced Ratchasima Wittayalai. Suankularb started strongly and controlled the attacking rhythm early on, taking the lead in the 15th minute through “Pee” Suwin.

However, Ratchasima Wittayalai responded quickly. Just minutes later, Walaphon Rongchamnong rose to head home a superb equaliser in the 24th minute. Neither side was able to add to the scoreline after that, with the match ending 1-1. The result earned Ratchasima Wittayalai a valuable point to take back to their “Suphaburut Ratchasi” supporters.
