Director-General of the Department of Physical Education Joins “Kao Ta Jai 10K Thailand Championship 2026 Presented by LG” as More Than 8,000 Runners Promote an Active Society and Reduce NCD Risks

Mr. Mongkon Wimonrat, Director-General of the Department of Physical Education, together with the department’s executives and personnel, participated in the “Kao Ta Jai 10K Thailand Championship 2026 Presented by LG.” The event was organized by the Kao Ta Jai Association in collaboration with the Department of Health under the Ministry of Public Health, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Athletic Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, the National Institute for Emergency Medicine, the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, and LG Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

The opening ceremony was attended by senior executives and representatives from various organizations, including Dr. Ekkachai Piansriwatchara, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health; Dr. Pakorn Tungthongserirak, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Health; Dr. Satit Pitutecha, Honorary Advisor to the Kao Ta Jai Association; Dr. Suwannachai Wattanayingcharoenchai, President of the Kao Ta Jai Association; Dr. Pairoj Saonuam, Deputy Manager of the Thai Health Promotion Foundation; and Mr. Seong Hanjong, Chief Executive Officer of LG Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Executives from both the public and private sectors also joined the ceremony and took part in a 5-kilometer health run.

The “Kao Ta Jai 10K Thailand Championship 2026 Presented by LG” featured a 10-kilometer race route through the heart of Bangkok, attracting more than 8,000 runners from across the country. The course, designed as a fast and competitive route, passed key landmarks including Rama VIII Bridge and Phra Pinklao Bridge. It is recognized as the only 10K race course in Thailand officially certified for distance and timing records by the Athletic Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage.
