Department of Physical Education Assesses Physical and Cognitive Readiness of North Bangkok University Futsal Players

Mr. Mongkol Wimonrat, Director-General of the Department of Physical Education, assigned Mr. Atcharat Yongthawee, Director of the Bureau of Sports Science, to lead a team of sports scientists and physiotherapists in assessing the cognitive performance and physical fitness of 35 futsal players from North Bangkok University.

The assessment included the following tests:

1. Computerized Cognitive Test to evaluate cognitive performance

2. Body Composition Assessment

3. 20-Meter Speed Test

4. Muscular Power Tests, including Countermovement Jump without arm swing and Drop Jump

5. Agility T-Test

6. Futsal Intermittent Endurance Test (FIET) to assess aerobic energy system performance and futsal-specific endurance

This assessment formed part of the activities under the Sports Talent Center, held under the theme “From Dream To… Pro! From Dreams to Professional Athletes.”

The initiative is part of the project “Developing the Physical and Mental Performance of Young Athletes toward Becoming World-Class Athletes in the Future,” a key flagship project of the Department of Physical Education for fiscal year 2026.
