Analysis of Forward and Backward Walking Patterns for Exercise
Year: 2009
Prepared by: Research and Development Group
Abstract: Modern exercise offers many options, and walking is one convenient, economical, and accessible activity that doesn't have serious side effects. Walking backward or sideways stimulates the activity of other muscle groups and improves body balance. The Office of Sports and Recreation Development would like to thank the Sports Science Division for conducting research on "Analysis of Forward and Backward Walking Patterns for Exercise," which will help promote awareness and the application of sports science knowledge to other forms of exercise.
