Assumption Thonburi and Bangkok Christian College Claim Victories in DPE–Daily News Cup 2026 U18 Category A

The DPE–Daily News Cup 2026 school football tournament, Under-18 Category A, continued its group-stage action at Supachalasai Stadium, with two of the competition’s major contenders, Assumption Thonburi and Bangkok Christian College, securing impressive victories.

In Group A, Matthayom Thetsaban 6 Nakhon Udon Thani faced Assumption Thonburi, with the “Young Tycoons” making a blistering start. Pariphat Phetprakhon opened the scoring in just the 2nd minute before Anthony Tangpao doubled the lead only three minutes later, making it 2-0 in the 5th minute.

After taking early control, Assumption Thonburi continued to dominate in attack. Pariphat struck again in the 29th minute to complete his brace, before Suphakit Thinwongdaeng added another goal in the 40th minute, giving Assumption Thonburi a commanding 4-0 lead at half-time.

In the second half, Matthayom Thetsaban 6 Nakhon Udon Thani tried to fight their way back into the match and managed to pull one goal back through Chinnakrit Suna in the 72nd minute. However, it was not enough to change the outcome, as Assumption Thonburi produced a dominant performance to defeat Matthayom Thetsaban 6 Nakhon Udon Thani 4-1 and secure three valuable points.

Meanwhile, in Group C, “Barça Na Kluea” Chaloem Phrakiat Samut Sakhon took on Bangkok Christian College. The “Purple-Gold Chongko” side showcased the variety and quality of their attacking game, combining set-piece precision, team play, and moments of individual brilliance.

The opening goal came in the 23rd minute when captain Jomphon Hombunma curled a superb free-kick into the net to give Bangkok Christian College a 1-0 lead. In the 37th minute, Bangkok Christian College produced a well-constructed team move, finished clinically by Phanuphong Wan-on, to extend the advantage to 2-0 before half-time.

In the 52nd minute, Bangkok Christian College supporters were sent into raptures when “Pap” Parames La-ongdee scored a stunning goal from around the halfway line. His audacious strike sailed over the goalkeeper and into the net, drawing loud cheers and excitement throughout the stadium.

Bangkok Christian College went on to defeat Chaloem Phrakiat Samut Sakhon 3-0, recording their second straight win and moving to six points.
