Department of Physical Education and Buriram Province Hold Preparatory Meeting for the 23rd National Disabled Student Games “Buriram Para Games”

Mr. Piya Pijam, Governor of Buriram Province, chaired a preparatory meeting and venue inspection for the 23rd National Disabled Student Games 2026, officially titled “Buriram Para Games,” scheduled to take place from August 31 to September 4, 2026.

The meeting was attended by Mrs. Kanyarat Thuamthaisong, Buriram Provincial Tourism and Sports Officer; Mr. Sirot Meeyot, Director of the Bureau of Sports, Department of Physical Education; Mr. Natthanan Sasaram, Director of the Sports for Persons with Disabilities and Special Groups Division; representatives from the Department of Physical Education; government and private sector agencies; and physical education officers from Buriram Province.

During the meeting, participants discussed Buriram Province’s readiness as host of the Games, including the preparedness of the organizing committee, the official logo and mascot, competition venues for each sport, and accommodation arrangements for coaches and athletes. These preparations were reviewed to ensure that facilities are appropriate for the number of participants registered in the competition system and that the Games proceed smoothly and efficiently.

On this occasion, representatives from the Department of Physical Education, together with the Buriram Provincial Office of Tourism and Sports and physical education officers, conducted site inspections of sports venues in Mueang Buriram District expected to be used for five sports: athletics, goalball, badminton, pétanque, and swimming. The delegation also inspected the venues prepared by the host province for the opening and closing ceremonies.

The Department of Physical Education and Buriram Province are scheduled to hold the official press conference for the 23rd National Disabled Student Games 2026 “Buriram Para Games” on August 24, 2026, at Prince Palace Hotel, Bangkok.
