Phra Mae Maree Sathon Crowned Men’s Public Division Champions, Assumption Claim U16 Title at 2026 Youth and Public Football Tournament

Mr. Mongkon Wimonrat, Director-General of the Department of Physical Education, assigned Dr. Adulyachat Khanthama, Director of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Personnel Development; Mr. Sirot Meeyot, Director of the Bureau of Sports; Dr. Atcharat Yongthawee, Director of the Bureau of Sports Science; Ms. Warisara Saengphairoj, Director of the Recreation Relations Group; and Mr. Wirat Amanon, Director of the Mass Sports Group, to represent the Department of Physical Education in presenting trophies and prize money at the finals of the 2026 Youth and Public Football Tournament (Bangkok) in the Men’s Public Division and Under-16 Division.

The results were as follows:

In the Men’s Public Division final, Bangkok AFC faced Phra Mae Maree Sathon School. Both teams started the first half with attacking intent, creating several scoring opportunities, but neither side was able to find the finishing touch. The first half ended goalless at 0–0.

After the restart, Phra Mae Maree Sathon made excellent tactical adjustments, took control of the midfield, and showed greater sharpness in the final third. The team scored twice in the second half to defeat Bangkok AFC 2–0 and claim the Men’s Public Division championship.

In the Under-16 Division final, held at 3:00 p.m., Assumption College, known as the “Red Eagles,” took on Pathum Kongka School, known as the “Singha Ekkamai.” Both sides traded attacks and defended strongly in a closely contested opening half. Pathum Kongka were reduced to 10 players following a tactical foul but managed to hold off Assumption’s attacks, with the first half ending 0–0.

In the second half, Assumption made full use of their numerical advantage and scored two goals in quick succession. Although Pathum Kongka pulled one back from the penalty spot late in the match to make it 2–1, time ran out before they could complete the comeback. Assumption College secured the Under-16 championship.
