Department of Physical Education Welcomes Ubon Ratchathani University Education Students for Study Visit on Physical Education, Muay Thai, Thai Sports, and Swimming for Persons with Disabilities

Mr. Mongkon Wimonrat, Director-General of the Department of Physical Education, assigned Mr. Panithan Hongthong, Director of the Muay Thai and Thai Sports Conservation Group under the Bureau of Sports, together with personnel from the Department of Physical Education and the Public Relations Group, to welcome 28 fourth-year physical education students from the Bachelor of Education Program, Faculty of Education, Ubon Ratchathani University, during their study visit to the Department of Physical Education.

The visit provided the students with an opportunity to observe, learn, and exchange knowledge in the fields of physical education and sports.

As part of the program, the student delegation visited Suphachalasai Stadium, where they learned about the history and role of the venue as one of Thailand’s key national sports landmarks. They also studied Muay Thai and Thai traditional sports, and visited the Physical Education and Sports Library and Museum to broaden their learning experience and gain knowledge that can be applied to their studies and future careers.

In addition, the students attended a knowledge-sharing session on swimming for persons with disabilities at the Visuttharom Swimming Pool, Department of Physical Education. The session was led by Dr. Taweechok Pongdee, President of the Cerebral Palsy Swimming Association of Thailand and former Director of the Bureau of Sports Science, Department of Physical Education. He shared knowledge and experience on the promotion and development of swimming for persons with disabilities.

Following the study visit, the student delegation returned safely.
