# To promote sports standards,
the Department of Physical Education, in collaboration with the Climbing Association of Thailand,
organized a standard training course for
rock climbing referees (basic level) 
from July 31st to August 4th, 2018, 
at Sangkhawit Municipal School 1, Trang Province. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Rak Booncharoen, Acting Mayor of Trang Municipality, and Mr. Kamthorn Traiboon, Director of Sangkhawit Municipal School 1. Mr. Somboon Uthaiwiankul, President of the Climbing Association of Thailand, and Mr. Uthit Yodkhamman, Thai national team athlete and assistant coach of the Thai national rock climbing team, served as instructors. This program was a collaboration between 
the Department of Physical Education, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, and  the Climbing Association of Thailand
