The Department of Physical Education organized a coaching training course in Sukhothai.
On November 7, 2016, at the Institute of Physical Education, Sukhothai Campus, Acting Lieutenant Colonel Thianchai Thongwinichsilp, Vice Rector of the Institute of Physical Education, Sukhothai Campus, presided over the certificate awarding ceremony and closing of the training program for coaches of volleyball, athletics, sepak takraw, and woodball (basic level) organized by the Department of Physical Education. A total of 200 participants attended the training program.
The Institute for the Development of Physical Education and Sports Personnel, Department of Physical Education, in collaboration with the Institute of Physical Education, Sukhothai Campus, organized a training program for coaches of volleyball, athletics, sepak takraw, and woodball (basic level). The aim was to familiarize participants with the principles, philosophy, and objectives of sports, and to enhance their abilities and skills as standardized sports coaches in accordance with the Department of Physical Education's policies. The training took place from November 1-7, 2016, at the Institute of Physical Education, Sukhothai Campus. The curriculum emphasized both theoretical and practical aspects, adhering to international standards in coaching principles, coaching ethics, and coaching methods. The Department of Physical Education hopes that this training will serve as a model for effective sports coaching for youth and the general public.
Lieutenant Colonel Thianchai Thongwinichsilp, Vice Rector of the Institute of Physical Education, Sukhothai Campus, stated, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Department of Physical Education, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, for bringing the Volleyball, Athletics, Sepak Takraw, and Woodball (Basic Level) Coaching Training Program to develop the coaching potential of the participants, including students of the Institute of Physical Education, Sukhothai Campus. This training provided an opportunity for participants to enhance their knowledge, receiving comprehensive theoretical and practical training from expert instructors in each sport. This will enable all participants to apply their acquired coaching skills to further develop children, youth, and the general public in Thailand.”
