321 teams are preparing to compete in the Department of Physical Education's futsal tournament for students.

    On June 28, 2017, at the Supachalasai Conference Room, National Stadium, Mr. Winit Chanmontri, Director of the Exercise and Mass Sports Group and Acting Director of the Sports Bureau, Department of Physical Education, chaired a meeting to explain the rules and regulations and conduct the draw for the 2017 Department of Physical Education Student Futsal Competition, General Category, ages 12, 14, 16, and 18 years. The purpose was to ensure understanding and consistent procedures. Coaches and representatives from 321 participating schools attended the meeting.

     For the 2017 Department of Physical Education Futsal Competition for Students in the Under 12, 14, 16, and 18 age groups (General Category), there are 263 participating teams, divided into four age groups: Under 12 (58 teams), Under 14 (96 teams), Under 16 (78 teams), and Under 18 (89 teams). The matches will be held from July 3rd to September 15th, 2017, at the multi-purpose area in front of the Nimibutr Sports Building, National Stadium. Team managers and coaches can view and download the competition schedule from the Department of Physical Education website: www.dpe.go.th

     Mr. Winit Chanmontri, Director of the Exercise and Mass Sports Group and Acting Director of the Sports Bureau, Department of Physical Education, stated, “The Department of Physical Education is very pleased to have received 321 applications for the 2017 Department of Physical Education Student Futsal Competition (General Category). This is a positive sign for developing student futsal players to reach professional and national team levels in the future. I hope that all coaches and athletes will compete to the best of their abilities, demonstrate sportsmanship, and adhere to the rules and regulations set by the Department of Physical Education. Importantly, all athletes should respect their opponents and referees, setting a good example for other athletes and spectators of this futsal tournament.”
