On June 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., Mr. Mongkol Wimonrat, Director-General of the Department of Physical Education, assigned Mr. Surat Charanyothin, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Physical Education, together with Ms. Napaporn Suwankot, Director of the Information and Communication Technology Group, and personnel from the Department of Physical Education, to attend the press conference launching Phase 3 of the project to further develop the Communication Innovation Sandbox for Government Policies.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, through the National Research Council of Thailand, in collaboration with Thammasat University, is continuing the “COMMU MAX Phase 3” curriculum under the project to further develop the Communication Innovation Sandbox for Government Policies. The initiative aims to develop communication innovators and enhance the effectiveness of government policy communication processes to reach the public more efficiently.

Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand, presided over the ceremony. Also attending were Assistant Professor Dr. Thanyaporn Suntorntham, Director of the Institute of Area Studies, Thammasat University, along with personnel from government agencies, the private sector, and members of the media. The event was held at the Auditorium Room, Radio and Television Operations Building, MCOT Public Company Limited.

The key objective of the project is to develop “communication innovators,” or highly skilled personnel, through the Commu Max certificate program. The program focuses on content creation and the strategic selection of communication tools that effectively connect with the public. It consists of four key components: a certificate program to enhance communication innovation capacity; networking activities in the form of proactive public relations, or roadshows; an intensive Masterclass Workshop; and a creative communication innovation contest aimed at inspiring participants and creating models of effective communication.

A highlight of this year’s program is the lineup of distinguished speakers, who are widely recognized as leading communication professionals from prominent media organizations. They will also travel to deliver training sessions across the country. The speakers include Mr. Peerapol Anutarasoat, Manager of the Sure and Share Center and creator of Thailand’s first television fact-checking content program, “Sure and Share”; Ms. Vanessa Samaksaroot, news anchor at Thai News Agency, Channel 9 MCOT HD, and a leading educational content creator in the industry; Mr. Wongsakorn Tanoonnut, owner of the Facebook page “Hua Na Bank Full Funnel”; and Mr. Wasin Pornwijitchinda, TikTok Expert and Executive Director of Kad Mai Ploy Academy.
